Hi all,

How to make Map modules for MySword?

You will have to make the map module in (using) The Word bible Software found here -  http://www.theword.net/

here is what I have done

Attached File  Test Images.zip   140.81K   17 downloads

The images is in Jpeg.

1. make the new topic

2. copy and paste into the Word.  You can also add text and scripture and strong popups. (very nice)

For me I have to learn to use The Word software just to make MySword modules.

So people who use e-Sword and MySword will have to learn to use The Word as well.

Thanks

Hi all,

with the ability to make map modules for MySword, I can now have all five parts of my Study Bible set for MySword.  This is a big advantage of using MySword in comparing other bible software for phones and tablets.

Look forward to downloading loads of Map modules.

thanks

Hi,

I am putting together a module that I would like to link to pictures to would this work like that?

In other words it would be a bok.mybible file commentary and we would like to reference a chart with a link in the text....I have downloaded your zip and the bok.mybible shows a pix but I could not find where to put the map.twm....

cheers, jeff

Hi all,

I was playing around with making a commentary that has images and this is what it looks like:

Attached File  test cmt.cmt.zip   1.69MB   11 downloads

Of course I made it in the Word then convert it to MySword.

1.  I added a topic Mat 1:1

2.  I put some text to it

3.  I copy and paste an image (Jpeg) into the cmt

and it works.  MySword is awesome I really like it.

thanks

Hi Patchwork,

Hey I tried to email you a couple of times, hope I am not bothering you.....I have tried this now myself having downloaded the word software and figuring that out somewhat....My issue is regarding this software or it could be in the mysword migration not sure...But as soon as I edit a file ie. put a picture in or even make a sentence BOLD I close the word software this gives me an updated .gbk file that has now added MB on it (in other words the file is larger than before) and when I put it into the mysword migration folder to convert it as usual the file comes out much smaller and it does not show up in mysword....

I can put an converted esword file in there and open it in the word program than send it to the mysword migration folder and convert it no problem (this has worked out great for some of my books had built in charts that now show up properly) BUT if I edit ANYTHING the file will not work...Have you experienced this at all?

cheers, jeff

P.S. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the programs also just in case...the importer, migration and the word

Hi,

I am not on line much.
Have you downloaded the new migration tool 2.4?
Here is what I did in the Word software:
1. Open the Word
2. Created a map module
3. Type a new map title
4. Add your image at the top right icon
5. Add your text

thanks

Hi all,

to the people who want to add images to MySword modules.
1. You will need to make a new module within the Word bible software.
2. Add your 1st topic (name)
3. Add your text
4. Add your image where you want, by clicking on the icon at the top right corner

If you copy text from another location, you will need to re work the scripture pop up. If do not, my sword will not recognise it.
To get the scripture to pop up, go to the end of scripture and press return and backspace. Put the mouse over the scripture to verify that it works.

Thanks
