Hi,

All I want to do is copy into gmail from Tooltip Tool NT and keep the formatting and highlights.

This is how I have to do it now.  Copy the text from TT NT into an eSword  topic.  Then copy that topic text into Word 2007.  Then copy that Word text into gmail.

ESword topic to gmail will not work without the Word 2007 step. Open Office does not help at all.

Any ideas appreciated.

Yes, it's possible.

When you have your document open in ToolTip NT, go to File on the upper taskbar and save it as an HTML file..  Place the file on your desktop.  It should open automatically in your browser. (I am using FireFox on a Win7 laptop)

Then just copy paste from your browser into Gmail.  Will the links work?  That's a real good question -- but you will get a digital representation of the document in Gmail.

...........

Another way to do the same thing, basically, is to go to the File button, and then press Save As...

The file will be saved as an RTF file.  Pick the file up with Open Office and then export it as a PDF and send as an attachment.  I think you can do that with open office.  YES, that works also.

To copy from TooltipToolNT into Gmail,  select the text you want to copy, RIGHT click and select Copy, then paste into Gmail.  The Ctrl+C has a glitch which does not always copy the formatting.  I need to fix that, but the right click+copy should work fine.  If it does not work, then check in Settings to be sure that ClipboardHtml

 is set to 1.

If it does not work, then check in Settings to be sure that ClipboardHtml

 is set to 1.

How do I find this  'Settings.'   The Format > Settings   just gives headers.

The settings spoken about are the main program Settings.  There is not a direct menu option to look these, but there is a keyboard shortcut,  Ctrl+Alt+Shift+A will open the Settings window.  NOTE - Clipboard HTML is defaulted to ON (1).
