Are there any plans to have the ESV Bible for downloading?

It is in the Premium modules section of the built-in downloader of eSword.

What I meant to ask is: are there any plans for the NIV (New International Version) Bible download?

 

There is an NIV package, but it is a premium package.  Scroll down a bit farther in the e-Sword download Bibles window.
