I have several bibles with the apocrypha but mysword doesn't support showing the apocrypha but as I understand it a bible with the apocrypha can be seen as a book.

How do I convert a mysword bible to a mysword book so I can see those extra books?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have the big 69 book apocrypha mysword book (glad to have it) but it doesn't have the standard apocrypha books that are part of roman catholic, greek orthodox, russian orthodox and protestant bibles with the apocrypha included.

hi

I do not know how to convert mySword to e-Sword, but if you have the bible in e-Sword then you can read the module using Tool Tip Tool NT.  to make RTF file so you can make the module into a topic so you can make the mySword module.

thanks

Thanks for your advice patchworkid, I down loaded the program you suggested. I don't quite know if it will do what I need, as the original question was how to convert a mysword bible to a mysword book because mysword doesn't support showing the Apocrypha in bible view even though the mysword bibles in question have those books already, mysword just doesn't support viewing from the bible view.

Here's what I did.

I converted several e-Sword bibles that contain the Apocrypha to the mySword format.

I pasted the converted bible into the correct mySword folder.

I can see the bibles in mySword but the books of the Apocrypha are not visible.

That amounts to about 16 books missing.

Those 16 books are not a part of the extra biblical 69 Apocrypha mySword book download made available by Peter Pellerin.

Hi if you need me to make the bible to a book module, please post the bible or a link to it.

As I said before. That is how I would do it.

Send me the module and I can do it for you.

Thanks

Thanks patchworkkid,

The fault appears to be mine as I wasn't aware that a book is a module in mySword.

Also thanks for volunteering to convert a bible to a book module. Here are two that I need most. I'll eventually learn how to do it but for now this is a great help.

edit:

I put in the wrong bibles. patchworkkid sent me the  correct RTF files, now to get them into mySword usable form is next step.

Thanks in advance.

Still need a way to convert mySword bibles to mySword books so the apocrypha books can be seen.

patchworkkid has suggested converting e-Sword bible modules to mySword books but I'm kinda lost on the process for now.

One way or the other I'll get it and make those bibles available for those who want to read the apocrypha

 with their bibles.

Hi

1. Download Tool Tip Tool NT (T4)
2. Open the file(s) I sent you
3. At the top, look 4 Mark click on it 2 produce a new chapter. It looks like a division symbol. There is 1 at Gen 1:1
4. Rename that verse with mark (symbol) รท01 Gen (return) your text

5. Find exo 1:1 and  do the same thing to each book

6.  once you do that to all the books then you can save the topic

7.  click on Modules at the top

8. scroll down to Topic

9. click on Save Topx File

10. download this file http://www.biblesupp...-various-tools/

11. open the file Bible Tools. this will convert e-Sword to MySword.

thanks

Thanks patchworkkid for taking some time off your project to provide guidance.

I'm on it.
