Hi all (Brad),

I believe I have figured out how to convert e-Sword bblx to the Word.

Here is a zip file that has the files I was working on.

Attached File  The Word Bible sample.zip   3.63MB   29 downloads

Now here is the process I made the Word module

1.  I opened Tool Tip Tool NT (made a bible RTF file)

2.  I removed all Formatting and Remove all Tabs

3.  I added the formatting I wanted and even added strongs (I used all the colors, bold, italics, and underline)

4. I saved the RTF file and made the bible module (bblx)

5. I opened up BeST2 and convert it over to e-Sword v7 (bbl)

6. I open the Word converter and convert v7 (bbl) to the Word

7. I opened the Word to look at the module (to see if it looks OK, if not )

8. I open the Word module with Word Pad (do this with the samples I uploaded to see how it looks)

9. I looked for the mistakes that was in the Word;

Examples:

strongs - <H><WH430><font color="#000000"> Remove <H> , and

italics - <i>Heaven</i> If the rest of the line is italics look for this <i>at the end it should look like this </i>

Note: <b>God</b> is for Bold; <b> is the begining and </b> is the end

Open OKJV v5 in Word pad and look at the color of codes. please examine this file to get an understanding.

Thanks to all who help me get the understanding (Holy Spirit, JPG and others)

hi

2-Convert the RTF to an HTML
theWord bibles are text files that use HTML-like codes. Convert the RTF to an HTML file with defined styles. The styles can be defined internally, or as a separate file. If internal, it will be cut & pasted into another file for editing. I used the ActionTest demo, http://www.trichview.../actiontest.zip. It's free and makes a nice simple file with internal styles.

Once the styles have been removed for editing, clean out everything except the bible text. Make sure that the resulting file is in a verse-per-line format. 23,145 lines for OT. 31,103 for ONT. This will become the ONT file.  (Quote)

how do I use the Action Test software?

thanks

I think its already available for theWord. There is a sister site to this one which may have all the resources on it that you may be wanting.

For those who may not know of this, just click on the highlighted text and it will take your there, and you can bookmark it for yourselves.

Blessings,
