I used the converter tool from e-sword.net to convert a Bible to .bbli

Then I opened itunesand went to the Apps Sharing in my Ipad and dropped the new file into e-sword.

But it doesn't seem to be there.

Is there something else or some other way that I should be doing this?

Shutdown the iPad and restart; if there is a SIM card in it then shall he ask for the passcode.

You don't need to shutdown the iPad.  Just terminate e-Sword and restart it.  Faster that a reboot too.  :-)

Rick Meyers gave users the ability to add their own modules to the iPad using the method he outlined here: http://www.e-sword.net/ipad/faq.htm

Let me comment on my experience over the past couple of months; it has made e-sword hd my 'go to app' for Bible study.

I have installed a lot of commentaries on my iPad that I had downloaded from this website into my e-sword software. Essentially it is a two step process (after you have downloaded/installed the conversion utility that Rick provides). Convert your Bible version, commentary, dictionary etc. module to ios format and then use iTunes file sharing to get your file onto your iPad. Others have mentioned using iFunbox rather than iTunes. I find iFunbox easier to use than iTunes since all I have to do after connecting my iPad is to drag the files into iFunbox. iTunes adds the step of "syncing" to get the file onto your iPad.
