I just purchased a nook HD+ as barnes & noble have opened them up now with software updates so they have google play store etc. So I have mySword on there and although it will take some getting used to having been using pes since 2004!.. the tablet will be my main study tool that I use the most. So can I get all those years of notes that I made in pes over to the mySword app?

thanks.

ctrl.

ctrl,

I am not sure what the database format for pocket e sword was.

Was there ever a way to convert pocket e sword notes to e sword?  I do not recall that there was.

Peter

I don't know if there was a way to convert them to the e sword program. I actually rarely used e sword as I prefered using pes on the pda it had a large colour screen and it was much more comfortable sitting on the sofa or in bed than at my computer desk. It was like using a miniture tablet.

I thought that I read a long time ago that the notes could be transfered but it doesn't really matter I still have the pocket pc with all the notes on it, I've dropped it a few times and its almost 8 years old so I think its going to last forever anyway.

hi  ctrl,

try connecting the phone to the computer so you can sync with it.  Once that is done, try to open the note file or any files that is related to pes.

maybe excel or access will open it.

question to others.  can sQlite read the pes?

thanks

I am also using pocket e-sword (good to see that someone still uses it) but I do not use notes feature. So I created one and I realized that it was saved as a .rtf file.

So connect your device to your PC (ActiveSync) and open the folder that you save your notes (maybe at sd card or main memory) and import them to PC.

Now I think you can use the Migration Tools at http://www.mysword.i...migration-tools to convert the .rtf file (please, My Sword's experts correct me if I am wrong because I do not use this app too much).

question to others.  can sQlite read the pes?

Pes files? Nope. I have tried 3 apps at osx to read them but no success.

There used to be a Pocket version of BeST named BPeST. I have used that in the past in combination with BeST to create bible files for Pocket eSword. I don't recall if it has an export version but you could look into that. I no longer have a Win Mobile device to test it myself though.

Thanks for the help everyone and sorry for the late reply I'm getting emails for private messages but not forum posts so I will have to look in preferences and see if I can get that. I will give the suggestions a go and see what I come up with. I think I had BPest on my old computer have'nt used it for years but I will download it to this machine and see what it can do. thanks again, ctrl.
