I'm not sure if I can ask questions related to T4 here.

Since I'm a newbie and not very familiar with this place

My apology friends

Whenever I'm trying to create my own module with T4

'Missing variable definition at the top of document' error pops up

I'm using Windows7 but I don't think that's the reason

I've also tried it on XP

One thing that's bugging me is that

I'm using a Korean version of Windows

Could that be the problem?

Also when i call for module define variables

It brings up strange characters like the attached screen shot

Is this normal?

I've read the kind manual by the author of T4

But I couldn't find the solution

Am I missing something?

Please help me out fellow friends

Remove the "?" Before the variable definitions. They should start with #.

download and see this user guide of T4 for further help

Thank you so much for your reply

But I've tried deleting '?'

and the same error pops up

Error pops up even when I type nothing but the variable definitions

Could you tell me any other tip?

#define version=1

#define strong=0

#define right2left=0

#define ot=0

#define nt=1

#define font=DEFAULT

It is odd that the order of the variables is reversed to what I get.

#define description=DESC

#define abbreviation=ABBR

#define comments=CMTS

#define version=1

#define strong=0

#define right2left=0

#define ot=0

#define nt=1

#define font=DEFAULT

#define apocrypha=0

Hi

try reading a bible using T4 and take the define variables from it. You can download an open bible module from this site.

Or you can copy and paste the above variables, and or type it out manually.

Thanks
