Is anyone having problems with V10.2.1 having trouble displaying the first page of .refx files?

Attached File  refx sc1.png   74.91K   10 downloads

Then Click on page 2:

Attached File  refx sc2.png   109K   11 downloads

Then click back on the first page and it appears:

Attached File  refx sc3.png   96.88K   9 downloads

I am running v10.2.1 on three machines: Windows 7 Pro, Windows 7 Home, and Windows 8.  I have also been able to recreate this on all three installations.

I have just recreated this by opening a .refx resource, clinking on the first page. closing the reference library and closing e-Sword.  Restart e-Sword, and open the reference library and the first page of the resource will not display until I have clicked on another chapter or section of the resource file.  This method has recreated the problem on every reference file that I have tried it on!

If you do this on a single page resource it will not display no matter what you do.  You can search a single page resource but it will still not display!

As I said I have confirmed this on 3 separate machines, is anyone else able to recreate this problem?

You don't have to restart e-Sword to test this.

When I choose any reference library file and go to the first chapter/division (top selection in the right navigation pane) and then close the reference library.  without restarting e-Sword open the reference library again and the first chapter/division will not display until you have clicked on another chapter/division, then go back to the first one.

In order to eliminate resources that I created, I decided to install a .refx file I hadn't created and didn't have.
I downloaded "History of the Christian Church" through the Downloads menu.
I installed it and restarted e-Sword.
I opened it and selected "Contents" in the navigation pane. it displayed correctly.
I closed the reference library and then reopened it but the "Contents" page was blank.
I then clicked on "Vol. 1, Prefaces to Vol. 1" in the nav pane and then back on "Contents" and "Contents" displayed correctly.

Can some else confirm this?

I am experiencing similar issues with a limited number of modules in the ref viewer.

UPDATE: The problem appears to be related to the new bookmarking feature.

When a Reference file is selected there is a registry key that is created: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\e-Sword\Library\History of the Christian Church. This registry key was created the first time I selected "History of the Christian Church" in the reference viewer.

As different pages/chapters/locations are opened, there are registry keys for each location that is within the reference file created - within this hive. The values stored appear to be the last screen location, (the actual bookmark/placeholder)

There is also a separate key called "topic" that shows that last active chapter/location/page. It appears that whenever this is set to "1" the first page will not display. BUT if I change this value to a "0" in Regedit then the first page will display.

The very first time a resource is opened it will display correctly. Leave the resource on the first page. close the reference viewer and open it a gain. the first page will not display.

If you delete that resources registry hive and then reopen the resource in the reference library it will display correctly the first time after is was deleted too.

This is just more info about the problem.
