All, I read this book a couple of months ago. I did not agree with everything, but it was a good reminder that God still heals today. It is written by a missionary in Peru (Steve Bremner). It was a very easy read and an encouragement to keeping on asking, seeking, and knocking.

The furthest thing from Paul's mind would have been the cessation of the gifts.
The Holy Spirit distributes "gifts of healing" as He wills (1Co 12:11).
Exod 15:26 And he said, “If you carefully listen to the voice of Yahweh your God and you do what is right in his eyes and give heed to his commands and you keep all his rules, then I will not bring about on you any of the diseases that I brought about on Egypt, because I am Yahweh your healer.
