Is there a way to make a complete duplicate of a journal file.? I have copied and renamed one of my journal files. Edited the name and abbrevation fields in the details table. However, when opening Mysword I still see the original name.

Hi
Go to my document e-sword folder look for the journal file, right click it , copy it

It should say Copy of Journal
Open e-Sword, go to Editor , journal , select the copy of journal
It should be the same as the original

Thank you

I don't know the answer, but I just want to mention that the question is not for journal files in e-Sword but in MySword. Not only is this the MySword forum, but wex005 explicitly mentioned opening MySword. So if anyone else knows the answer, please jump in.

Wex005, you might also ask your question on the MySword forum from the developers themselves at http://www.flickr.com/groups/mysword/

Regards,

Rob

Hi,

Sorry, I should have looked at the question better

Try this go to the folder that you have MySword modules (example I have mine located extSdCard/mysword.

Go to the folder that has MySword modules look in the folder that has journals

I just tried it.
This is what I did
1. Open MySword
2. Click on an icon that looks like cranking wheel (set up) located at the bottom
3. Select copy/export
4. Select export notes/journal files.

Follow the instructions from there

Thank you
