Shalom to all,
My compliments to the leadership for including materials pertaining to the Aramaic New Testament known as Peshitta. It has been highly esteemed by the Assyrian Christians for many, many centuries. My request would be for Payne-Smith's Compendious Syriac Dictionary as an e-Sword download. It is available at Tyndale House.. http://www.tyndale.c.../TABS/index.htm
It is also available at www.archive.org in several formats.. http://archive.org/d...yriacDictionary
The works of Gesenius, Wilson, and Marcus Jastrow might also be of interest to many on the forum. It's part of the TABS at Tyndale Archive.
For multi-lingual exegetes, Edmund Castell's Heptaglott is online and might make a good e-Sword resource. It took Professor Castell 18 years to do this mammoth work spending 16-18 hours a day. Wow! http://archive.org/d...acume00castuoft
William Jennings' Syriac Dictionary gives references to Old Syriac (Curetonian) and Old Syriac (Sinaiticus), Philoxenian, etc., as well as the Peshitta Text words.
