I want to create a dictionary for MySword.

I have the text in plain text.

Also do I have a topic number and the rest of the text

Question: what is the easiest path from plain text to MySword dictionary?

Hello mulcamd,

You first need to learn how to use this tool to convert your text into an e sword dictionary:

http://www.biblesupp...ooltip-tool-nt/

The user's guide for this is here:

http://www.biblesupp...revision-21712/

You ten need to follow these instructions:

http://www.biblesupp...ysword-modules/

Some day maybe I will make a nice user's guide for MySword like Josh did for tool tip and e sword  :).

Let me know if you have any questions.

Blessings,

Peter

hi

I just got a Samsumg Galaxy phone and Tablet.  I have put My Sword on it and will look into making all my modules for MySword. That will be fun.

Please Peter make the manual on converting e-Sword modules to My Sword. and all things you know about MySword.

I am new at MySword.  Excited and ready to learn all I can to use MySword to it's fullest.

thanks

Patch,

There are many things you can do with MySword that you cannot do with any other mobile software.  Any files you convert to MySword ... you can listen to as an audio book (if you have the Deluxe version of MySword).  The multiple windows feature for the Deluxe version is the best in mobile Bible study software that I have seen.  There are many great features that you will discover and they are adding more all the time.

hi,

can you add images to dictionaries and commentaries like e-Sword and the Word?

I will be making modules with images using Tool Tip Tool NT.

1. make the e-Sword module

2. convert it to the Word

3 migrate the Word module to MySword.

I am using MySword more to study now.  so I had to rearrange my Study Bible Set to match all three software.  I am looking forward to my next upgrade to my set.

thanks for letting me know if I can add images to Dictionaries and Commentaries,

Patchworkid

Patchworkid,

Images that you add in tool tip for the e sword version can convert to MySword.  It is best if they are not .bmp format.

Often you have to open up the theWord file after migrating from e sword and run the "detect all verse references" routine.  Then run the "convert to rtf" rourtine.  Repeat both of these steps a second time.

After you have run both routines twice, then migrate the module to theWord.

Usually the above procedure works for images.  If it does not work try  running the "detect all verse references" routine again to convert the theWord module back to .rvf format and try to migrate to MySword again.

I do not know the technical reasons why the above steps are needed.  There may be other ways.  However, the above is how I go about it.

Blessings,

Peter
