Windows 8 had to restart yesterday; for some reason, my study notes file rolled back to an earlier date.  I did not have file history turned on, so I do not know if it is possible to regain my lost work.

Can I change the location of my notes files to my Google Drive?  This would keep my notes backed up in case of a problem.  Would this also allow me to use the same notes files from different PCs?

within the e-Sword editor window hold CTRL then right click then open

If you can navigate to your google drive from there you can move the NOTX file there ande_sword will remember where you last opened a notx file

Note one drawback to this is esword will only read that location

Here are instructions I made for using Editor notes on Drop Box. Google Drive is very similar and should work as well: http://www.biblesupp...-notes/?p=15402

thanks.  I tried this; I was able to open my study notes, but when I control-right click in the topics editor, no window pops up.

In fact, when I go into the Topics editor now, I can't even use it.  All the toolbar buttons are "grayed out", and I can't even get a cursor in the edit window.

In the help menu choose reset e-Sword settings if that does not work you may need to reinstall e-Sword

Create a new topic so that the window is not grayed out:

Yes, I accidentally discovered that.  It does seem to be working now.  Thanks!
