When I recently updated to Word 2010, my e-sword macro on the word toolbar lost functionality.  I tried to uninstall, download, and reinstall the macro for Word 2010 from the esword site and I still can't get it to work.  It doesn't show the icons.  It just lights up an empty place where the icon used to be and the box will pop-up and tell me that it is supposed to be esword.  Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to get the macro/toolbar back?  It was very useful to me!  I wish someone would make one to work in powerpoint, too!

Try going to Tools in the top tool bar of the Word window, select Customize, then scroll down to make sure the e-sword macros option is checked.

You might also want to try downloading the e-sword utility Hotkey...

It will allow you to access the functionality of the macros anywhere you can paste text which should include Power Point as well.

If you have the macros installed, then you need not have e-sword running to use Hotkey.

Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)
