I've just installed e-Sword Library Manger and notice that some of my bblx files are in the e-Sword program directory and others are in an e-Sword folder under My Documents.

Is there a definitive location for each type of module or doesn't it matter?

The correct location is whatever location defined in Options > Resources > Location (field at the bottom of screen).

Thanks Josh,

So this means I can nominate any location as long as I make sure that's where I put the files. B)

Correct, for commentaries, dictionaries, Bibles, devotions, Reference Library modules. Not for Editor notes (Topic, Journal, or Study). You set where e-Sword looks for those files by CTRL-right clicking, choosing Open, and opening a module in a new folder.

Josh, your answer of where the file location can be changed has made my life much happier. Now I have all of the modules I downloaded from the BibleSupport site running in my Ubuntu-installed e-Sword program. Your answer was such simple elegance.

I'm glad others have been helped by Josh's answer.  There is indeed wisdom in many counsellers Prov 15:22
