Am reading this in pdf format. It would be wonderful to have this scripture-rich resource available as an e-Sword module to view the verses instantly as I read.

Thanks!

how much have you read

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

What is curious is that I can find this module in the MySword venue: http://www.biblesupp...ysword-version/ ... but not in the e-Sword collection. I believe that e-Sword modules can be converted to MySword but is the converse true?

I think recreating the module from CCEL would be best. The MySword version is missing some content (introductory notes and maybe a few sections), missing footnotes, and its not well organized (no hierarchy like CCEL has) . The formatting is also lacking on Bullinger's verse diagrams, as are verse numbers (lot of untooltipped roman numerals mixed in with the MySword version).

That MySword link sends one to TheWord.net to download TheWord version which is quite small and seems to be missing stuff as well.

The link used to be to a MySword module at twmodules.com.  David Cox appears to have taken the link down.

I will have to fix the MySword posting.

The MySword Link is now fixed to include the actual file.

Thanks everyone for your responses!

.Re the Bullinger, I am on page 92, at the commentary for the assembly at Philadelphia.

I am also working my way through Peters' Theocratic Kingdom, which I highly recommend. I appreciate having this reference, as it's much easier to read in e-Sword than in the pdf I started reading.

I have always appreciated the vintage writings; these men seemed to have a deeper grasp of scripute than is generally found today.

I'm not certain that "vintage" writers have a deeper grasp of scripture rather they have withstood the test of time while the "fluff" has simply entered into well deserved obscurity.  Much the same can be said for contemporary praise and worship songs...the good will survive the bad will not (that doesn't mean that all of either that that fades away is all bad, sometimes it merely goes "out of style" for ther moment to be rediscovered by later generations).

Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, (Jeremiah 9:23-24a)

"Defenders of the faith are inclined to be bitter until they learn to walk in the light of the Lord. When you have learned to walk in the light of the Lord, bitterness and contention are impossible." --Oswald Chambers, in Biblical Psychology from The Quotable Oswald Chambers.
