HTM/HTML

Mobi

It allows PDF as well, but i find it difficult to read due to letter size.

Any module?

I am currently using ToolTip NT 1.77, and I do not see any option to open a Bible module (bblx).

File > Open has nothing

and neither does

Modules > Bible

in the same way as the other module types TOPX, CMTX, DCTX etc do have (under the Modules menu).

Please tell me what I am missing.

Thanks

Roy

Ok.... Proverbial snake time :)

I would have sworn that when I looked at that menu earlier today, all I saw were 3 different entries on "Saving" Bible modules.

Indeed, it's right there, sub-menu item #3.

Duhh.....

Thank you very much for your patience.

Roy

There is a tool for generating mobi from bblx files:

npm install bblx2mobi -g

You will need a second tool as Tooltip only creates files for use in E-Sword and no other application.

The above having been said you can open the CMTX file in Tooltip and then save it as an RTF file. Once you have the RTF file you can use an RTF to MOBI converter to convert the RTF file to Kindle. There are several online converters as well as downloadable ones that you can use.

Important note: CMTX files quite often contain bible verse cross refernces that have been created to display popups in E-Sword, this is known as Tooltipping hence the name of the module creation program Tooltip NT. The popups are small boxes displaying the cross referenced verse so users of E-sword do not have to search through entire bible modules to find a cross referenced verse. This functionality will likely be lost in converting a cmtx file for use on a Kindle as there is no kindle version of E-Sword.

After you use eSword Tool Tip to convert the file back into RTF format, there is a program called 'Calibre' that you can use to convert the file into Mobi and a host of other formats. DOCX, TXT, EPUB, PDF, etc..
