Example: The "Sermon Commentary From..." series by Charles Spurgeon takes, by my count, 6 .cmtx (the Books of Law and History, the Books of Poetry, the Major Prophets, the Minor Prophets, the Gospels, and Acts to Revelation), which means 6 tabs.  Combining them into a single .cmtx would mean only one tab, greatly reducing the amount of screen space the tabs take and making navigating between the series and other commentaries much easier.  So I was wondering/hoping there was an easy way to combine them and if so, how?

I'm sure right now those modules are being looked at by resource builders to possibly combine them

I would like to ask you if you know about single row tabs  If not

go to OPTIONS then RESOURCES at the bottom of the popup widow check the box DISPLAY TABS IN A SINGLE ROW click OK

at the right of the tab row there will be left and right arrows

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Yes, I know about them, but that still doesn't solve the problem of having to scroll through a bunch of 5 tabs more than there would be if they were combined.  Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Sorry, I simply copied the links off the "Other Modules by the Same Author" section on the lower-ish right side of the page assuming they would still be good without actually checking them.

I just finished doing the exact procedure you described with the commentaries by Stanley Derickson.

What I did was import them, one after another, into T4 (using 'Modules > Commentary > Read Commentary File - Single Block'). Next, I saved the resulting file as an '.rtf' file, then saved the '.rtf' file as a single commentary (using 'Modules > Commentary > Save Commentary File).

I guess you could skip the middle operation (saving the '.rtf' file), but I wouldn't recommend it, because if you do, you won't have anything to fall back on if the module creation procedure goes wrong.

You can also combine commentaries in T4 by just using the Tools+Combine Files method.  The first file in the list of files you then combine would create the information displayed for the tab.  You can create a simple CMTX file with your own tab information, make that the first file when you do the combination.  Much faster that first creating the RTF, then regenerating a new CMTX file.
