Hello

I have found Alford's Greek New Testament In PDF  here

 http://books.google....epage&q&f=false

I'm hoping someone will take this project on

You can use a Greek text already in RTF to save time follow in the source text and make necessary changes the RTF

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

We have his commentary notes and Greek analysis, but I assume you mean his Greek translation.

At a glance, his translation is virtually identical to the Greek New Testament module in e-Sword, which is the 1904 "Patriarchal" edition of the Greek Orthodox Church. Someone could use the GNT as a starting point and edit with Alford's changes. Every passage I checked was identical.

different Alford this is Bradley Hurt Alford maybe related don't know

yes using a Greek text that's in RTF (editable text) is the best and fastest way

I'm using Elzevir as a starting point for Griesbach

I don't understand....   What does Bradley Hurt Alford abridgement of the original Henry Alford commentary notes and Greek analysis offer?   Most commentary abridgements offer only minor corrections, while leaving out important materials - or that's been my experience.  Consider the one vol JFB with the original works, the same is true with the Hastings dicitonary, the Smith's dictionary and Clarke's Commentary sets (I've owned them all at one time or the other).

if the text is contained in the commentary

one cannot compare it to other Greek texts

As other compare English version I compare Greek for as you assurendly know all english versions even the KJV was translated from Greek the study of the Greek in my opinion gleans more

this is why my projects are usually dictionaries and greek Manuscripts

are you saying Henry Alford text is available as a stand alone BBLX and not part of another module

and is the text of Henry Alford extractable form his commentary from what I have seen it is not am I wrong in this assesment

and thank You for the info

added

Bradley hurt Alford is not a commentary its a Greek New Testament

Yes, I agree!  That's why I'm thankful Josh Bond choose Dean Henry's un-abridged version!
