Following up in a new thread for my previous posts. Figured anyone using wine under linux might have some clues for me.

Upon some testing with ToolTip NT, I'm able to save any other formats EXCEPT .bblx files?  I even loaded an existing bblx that's properly formated, and then tried saving it as a new bblx mod, but, never get the save file dialog. When I click on 'modules/bible/save bible file book chap:verse' it just goes and highlights the header section at the top of the file. Thought that might mean it doesn't like the formatting, but I don't see anything wrong with it (using the KJVa as a test):

define description=King James Version with Apocrypha
#define abbreviation=KJVA
#define comments=This is the 1769 King James Version (Authorized Version) of the Bible with all books of the Apocrypha supported by e-Sword.
Susanna is Daniel chapter 13.
Bel and the Dragon is Daniel chapter 14.
Additions to the Book of Esther are found at the end of Esther 10:3 in blue text.
Prayer of Azariah is between Daniel 3:23 and Daniel 3:24 in blue text.
Letter of Jeremiah is found in Baruch chapter 6
This module was created by Josh Bond / BibleSupport.com. Let me know of any corrections.
#define version=2
#define font=DEFAULT
#define right2left=0
#define ot=1
#define nt=1
#define apocrypha=1
#define strong=0
÷Gen 1:1 In the beginning God cr eated the heaven and the earth.

Also, when browsing files to load under the various module types, it does not see any of the files using the filemask in the file browser (eg, under modules/topx/read topx file, the dialog should see all files match *.topx, but doesn't). I have to specify the exact file name.

I don't get any errors in my wine log, so now I'm completely at a loss to figure out what's wrong.

James, some problems with the Character set of the parameters and the text.

Can you save the Bible in notepad with Unicode?

And then copy it to Tooltip Tool NT

Katoog,

Thank You!

It works fine when saving with  "Modules-Bible-Save Bible File Book Chap:verse",  BUT

it does't work when saving with "Modules-Bible-Save Bible File Unicode Text Book Chap:verse".

I want to save bblx file in "Unicode Text".  It works on small file like 10 chapters from the bible,

but not the whole New Testament.

The reason for saving in Unicode Text is to use with MySword Adroid App.

Help me!

with thank!

James

Recommendation - - DO NOT USE the Unicode option.

This seems like a simple question, but I am unable to find anyone else with the same problem...

I want to edit a bible module bblx. I open the file using "Read Bible File" in ToolTips.
After editing the module, I go to save it, but it does not give me the option to save as bblx.
So I either save it as a txt or rtf file.
After that, I cannot find any instructions on how to convert the file back to bblx, (Am I missing something??)

Do NOT use the File > Save menu. You have to "Build" the Bible.bblx file.

You use the Modules > Bible > Save Bible File... menu option.

See attached.
