For those of you who use Kindle, there is a book that is free until the end of the year.  I really enjoy Dr. Michael Brown's material.  He is a Messianic Jew.  In this book he addresses American cultural questions as they relate to the church in 70 different articles.

The articles include:

  • Separation of Church and State: Misinformation and Hypocrisy
  • "Mutant" as a Codeword for "Gay" in the X-Men Movies
  • Please Stop Sexualizing Our Children
  • The Girl Who Thought She Was a Werewolf Vampire
  • Dan Savage Savages the Bible, Christianity, the Pope
  • What Christian Orphans in India Can Teach Our American Youth
  • Is Kirk Cameron an Accomplice to Murder?
  • The Man Who Married the Goat

http://www.amazon.co...line of fire 70

I listen too his line of fire radio program often:  http://www.lineoffireradio.com/

For general reading http://www.ereaderiq.com/free/ has 10-15 pages of free kindle books every day. You can filter what sort of books you are interested in. They have Christian books and "Christian" books from time to time. Clicking on one of the books takes you to Amazon for "purchase" of the free book and then it delivers wirelessly.

Thanks exscentric,

I purchased several free books.  It was useful to click on the "Religion and Spirituality" category.  There are a lot of books to look through.

Here are some more free books that I found from exscentric link:

Phillip Yancey - Where is God when it hurts:

http://www.amazon.co...keywords=Yancey

Rob Bell Reader - Not a Rob Bell fan or emergent church fan.... there is no need to change the gospel, but this book has samples from 5 of his books, I wanted to read for myself what the emergent church is actually teaching and it is free..

http://www.amazon.co...Rob Bell Reader

Bobb Saffrin - Sunrise of Hope - this is a book on 10 Psalms with a lot of good reviews, not sure of his backgroud...

http://www.amazon.co...Sunrise of Hope

I also got a few other free ones, but probably not worth mentioning...

I might also suggest a site that has a lot of late news relating to tablets and ereaders of all sorts.  There are a lot of secular wannabes and writers that discuss that end of reading as well.  They also have library. http://www.mobileread.com/forums

I find the reader/tablet information nice when looking for a new unit or having problems with an old one.

If you are from the UK you are re-directed to the UK site.

The URl above - mobilerea - is coming up with a 404 when I tried to access it.
