Hey everyone. Is there a program or something that can be used to easily edit the text of existing E-Sword modules. I don't want anything that requires me to know programming language or any kind of expert knowledge because I would be unable to use it. I am an experienced computer user but I am by no means an expert. Are there any programs out there that are fairly easy to use which you can edit the text of an E-Sword module with? The modules I am speaking of are the DCTX and CMTX modules. If it edits files in the Reference Library that would be nice too but it is not necessary. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Easy is a matter of perception, and definition.

I find SQLite Database Browser easy to use. However, it does require that one know SQL. It also requires that one knows the RTF that e-Sword recognizes.

A better question is which modules do you find problems with that need fixing? The original uploaders here are usually pretty good about fixing modules when a problem is pointed out.

Good job on a complicated answer to a simple question... obviously she does not want to mess with sql.

Go with ToolTip. Best for this kind of work.

hi

open Tool Tip Tool NT
click on Modules
say you want to open a bible - click on bible scroll down to Read Bible and it will open up (as long as it is not encrypted)

Again the main things is Modules top click on the type of module you want to open and the key word is Read.

thanks

Okay, I have that figured out. Now here's the thing. Some of the modules I have contain Scripture references but for some reason they don't display the Bible verse when you hover on them and if you click them they don't make E-Sword automatically go to that passage of Scripture with the Bible. How do I fix that? Also, I am speaking of Dictionary modules (.dctx)
