Mat 1:2
Text text text text text text text text text text text text text text

To this

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

In M.S. Word with "use wildcards" selected

Search
<([A-z]{1,4})>( )([0-9]{1,3})(:)([0-9]{1,3})(^l)

Repalce
\1\2\3\4\5

Make sure there is a space after the \5 in the replace command

I tried this on the small amount of text above pasted into MS word and it seemed to work fine.

Please see attachment to get the search command without the :)

replace ([0-9]{1,2}\:[0-9]{1,2})^13
with \1 (make sure you have a space after the \1)

If that doesn't work, change the ^13 to ^l (lower case L there) and everything else the same.

I edited Peter's post to turn off emiticons which are on by default and show the smiley faces with certain character combinations. Should copy better.

DSaw,

The above works for me now when I paste it in. I just tested it.
It sounds like you have it figured out with a macro though.

Bradley's looks simpler though I have not tested it, I often do things the hard way :).

Blessings,
Peter

I didnt try your edited post

Well,
Those are paragraph marks and not line marks.

I tried to do it in the attachment. Did that work?

Search
<([A-z]{1,4})>( )([0-9]{1,3})( :)([0-9]{1,3})(^13)

Repalce
\1\2\3\4\5

Need ^13 instead of ^l

See attachment in my post above, I ran my search and replace on it and I think it worked.

Peter

What do the "<" and ">" do in the search field? That's what I'm not getting.
