Over the past year, at least two dozen people, including a number of regulars, have have asked that the homepage's search box (top right) automatically search the Downloads, not the news.

The confusion was new users (and some experienced users) would go to BibleSupport.com's front page. They would type into the search box and click the search icon. Rather than searching the downloads, the search would (by default) search the news. This led to frustration and probably some people leaving, thinking the search was broken.

The default search for other portions of the site remains the same--if you're in the forums and search, the search defaults to the Forums. If you're in Blogs and search, the search defaults to the Blogs. Of course, you can override the default search by clicking the gray text at the end of the search box and choosing a different search location.

The general assumption is, you want to search whatever portion of the website you are currently in, so it default's there--except the homepage, which now defaults to Downloads, since we're a downloads centered site.

Hey, we agree on something! Also made the change to the other website. Keep forgetting to update that site with coding changes here.
