I use Times New Roman 12 as my standard font for just about every .topx./.refx module I build. Old habits die hard.

Most of those familier with typography say that Times New Roman is the font that should be avoided if at all possible.

I know it's only a "cosmetic" problem, but this issue of varying font styles, sizes, etc. makes e-Sword sometimes look very unprofessional, which is sad considering the program's otherwise powerful features. I hope in a future update that it'll be possible for each user to set default font settings of his choice that apply across the board to every aspect of e-Sword: Bibles, dictionaries, commentaries, reference and topic materials, etc. without exception.

Until then it unfortunately often has the amateurish appearance of being a container of randomly formatted materials lacking any consistency. E-Sword deserves better!

I know, but you can't tell a conservative, Baptist anything! He still uses Windows 95 with Wordperfect!!! ;)

On a serious note, I strongly dislike Times New Roman's looks too. I really prefer Segoe UI or Tahoma. Nice, crisp, non-flowery font style. But since e-Sword naturally uses the Georgia font by default, I try to stay with that.

Right, all that's missing is that Topics/Resource Library books use e-Sword's default font settings. I seriously doubt that will ever happen because of the way it's programmed. I've discussed it before with no success. And your right, every module maker has a slightly different style (font style, font size, etc).

That's why I use the same font style that the official e-Sword resources use for Topics/Reference Library books. That's all I can do.

@Josh Bond

I have not yet upgraded to Win95. That would be far too contemporary and sinful. As all other real Christians, I use Windows 3.1....
