My initial thought would be: Why do power users need a menu to install something? If someone's tech savvy enough to make modules, they're tech savvy enough to install a few apps?
Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding what your proposing. If the menu package includes T4, that will keep you quite busy. Releases of that product come frequently, mostly because someone (usually me or Dave) keeps asking for new features. I'm on the second generation of a beta right now that will probably be released soon.
HI Josh,
Its something I do now to those whom I give e-Sword too, which is part of a 2 CD package, and that I thought it would be great to extend it to those who have friends who wish to have a bunch of tools which they can use in the help of creating, editing, and etc., modules. That said, at the moment I'm trying to gauge what interest there might be for such a installer menu.
With regards to T4, I think you have a point, as it would be difficult to keep up with every new release, especially with the way you are having poor
old Brent making changes and/or adding things to the program. You gotta have the poor bloke running ragged and stressed.
(Just kidding about that). I'm just glad that e-Sword doesn't come out fast as that.
Anyway, I'd like to see some more comments on this of what other Power Users (great name, eh mate) think before I do anything about it.
Blessings,
