Since the markup file that comes with the rainbow bible is markup.olvx when it is copied in to the e-Sword folder within the documents folder it replaces the existing markup file which is also markup, olvx. In order to have both files you would need rename the markup file that comes with KJV-Rainbow Bible

I did not realise the file had the same name as the default markup file. (I had not checked the download to see what name it had) This is a major oversight by the maker that could result in the loss of markup.

In one of the text files that come with the Bible advises to change the markup file name :D

Just not quite correct. Still have to open the file in order for it to work. See video below.

Blessings,

True once you have the renamed the Rainbow Bible markup file then you will be to open or select the mark up file from the bible drop down menu in e-Sword. My point however was that if one just copies and pastes the markup file into e-Sword without renaming it will overwrite the users existing mark up file

Blessings,

I downloaded the one called Rainbow.zip and did not see any instructions. Perhaps I got the wrong download.

There should be two text files in the zip file which contain the instructions

Brain thinks one thing and fingers type another.

What I meant to say was I did not see any instructions about renaming the Markup.ovlx file in the instructions. Sorry about that....

Hi all, I made an update:

Once you unzip the file, move the Rainbow.ovlx to My Documents -> e-Sword folder
Open e-Sword, Click on Bible next to File (top), click on Markup File, open, click on Rainbow.ovlx

You know, the Rainbow Bible reminds me of that song, "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from the movie, "The Wizard of Oz." Maybe its because of all them rainbows floating around.

The KJV-Rainbow Bible with color changes made by Shawn Fifield, was provided with instructions. The instructions were originally made for E-Sword running on Windows XP or Running on Windows 7.

If you encounter a problem, and are running e-Sword for the PC on a more recent version of Microsoft Windows, or Windows (64-bit), see the updated instructions on the Bible Support Forum at http://www.biblesupport.com/topic/6500-bibles-kjv-rainbow/
