I removed the red box that used to appear in the lower, right corner to users who were not logged in. The idea was to briefly explain what this site is about. Although I would like to think it's obvious what we're about, a number of first time visitors arrive through Google search results having never heard of e-Sword (from the questions i receive).

I replaced the red box with a popup that appears after 15-30 seconds, only for users that are not logged in. It will never appear for users who are logged in. The idea is to concisely introduce the idea of Bible study software, explain what this site offers, and encourage the visitor to register. You can click this image to see a larger version:

Hi Josh,
Whew, about time. That thing looked so gross that I wanted to chunder. It looked like puke. Now, I know you have incredible taste and flare, and when you created that ghastly thing I wondered what planet were you on. Josh got spaced out, and martian by the looks of it.

I like what you did, and I tend to think that you could change it from time to highlight other outstanding resources and modules for e-Sword, and have an e-Sword add it-self pop-up saying something like "Approximately 2 million users can't be wrong."

Just one of my crazy ideas.
