Has anyone thought of a way that an esword user could easily tag verses? The obvious way is to use verse lists. I very much like and appreciate esword and have used it for many years. It would be a great option if a user could tag verses in bible view and then see all verses related to a tag,

Hi,

You can right click a verse in the Bible window and quickly add it to the current verse list. But you can't choose verse lists from the popup menu. You can select verse lists from the toolbar.

The Verse Lists feature was created before "tagging" came to be known as it currently is, so it's not as fast or friendly as we now realize tagging should be.

As true at this may be, the one thing that by having an actual verse list which corresponds to a particular word in the Bible, is it makes an excellent home made Bible Concordance. This concordance can be as extensive as one would like it to be, and one which you or anyone else could use, and would beat the Exhaustive Bible Concordance by James H. Strong. And BTW, that is only just by one means the Verse List can be used. Moreover, because the Verse List is Canonically sorted, it makes it much easier to find a verse for that particular word.

Here are the ways what one can use the Verse List:
  • Bible Concordance
  • Study Reference
  • Scripture Cross Referencing
These are the ones I've listed in my e-Sword PowerPoint Presentation. I'm sure you and others could add a few more ways the Verse List can be added.
