Albert Benjamin Simpson (1843-1919) author, hymn writer, conference speaker, was an evangelist to the urban masses of New York City and a missionary statesman. Among his enduring achievements was the founding of The Christian and Missionary Alliance and what is now Nyack College.
Most of Albert B. Simpson's many books are sermons--sermons preached to large, enthusiastic audiences, stenographically recorded, lightly edited and pressed into print. Days of Heaven Upon Earth is somewhat different. In response to repeated requests for a daily devotional, Simpson himself prepared this book, selecting appropriate passages from various of his books, pamphlets and sermons. Days of Heaven met with instant approval and continues to be one of Simpson's most popular titles.
