I found that copying and pasting text that was a hyperlink to a website caused the "error 321 unknown format (1-241f)" message.  Once I removed the hyperlink text from the topic notes everything seemed to work correctly again.

I've been working on a Bible lesson in e-Sword Topic Notes for weeks (English & Russian), with no apparent problem.

It was "saving" just fine.

I did notice, though, that when I copied and pasted parts of it elsewhere, it removed my formatting (text color, size, etc.) when I pasted it, but it was still "saving" in e-Sword.

Today, as I had finished the last of it, I tried to save it. It would not save.
Got: "error 321 unknown format (1-241f)"

I tried to copy & paste it to an outside document/wordprocessor.

It will not allow me to copy.

The same message comes up:
"error 321 unknown format (1-241f)"

The only other thing about it

Help! Can anyone tell me how to avoid losing all my hours of work?
Also, how can I send it to the person who needs it, as it will not let me copy & paste into email.
:/

I've seen this error when the text references an image that isn't there.

I've also seen this error in relation to a complex table, with one row having X number of columns and another row with a fewer number.

I recommend: Copying the text into Wordpad. Then copying the text back from Wordpad to e-Sword.

In both e-Sword and Wordpad, look for a broken image--where an image is trying to load but isn't there, representing by an empty box, just in case that's the cause.

I am getting the error message as well.  The only copying/pasting I have done is within esword (Scripture).  I can not save and I can not copy paste my document to Word or WordPad.  When "select all" and copy, the error message comes up.  If I hit save, the error message comes up.

Anybody got any new input on this?  Fixin to lose alot of work if I have to close out without saving....

Have you tried coping & Pasting with a section of the text instead of select all

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

Nope,  it will not let me copy any of it.  I am really bummed out about this.  I really wanted to use the editor instead of having to use Word on the side, but if there is a chance that I can spend hours typing then lose the ability to save it...I guess I will just trash the Editor.

If I were you, I think that I would provide details and report this error to Rick Meyers. First, can I assume that you're using the latest version of e-Sword? Maybe he can duplicate the problem and provide a fix with the next version of e-Sword. Text handling problems were the reasons for the last update. I'm sorry that you're having problems and wish I had a solution for you.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
