Josh...
That worked great.
I had to create the new folder and then save the file into that folder.
And voila!!!
It worked beautifully.

I do hope that this will definitely be fixed in the next release, but for now it works.

Thanks again.

Rev. Bob Bacle

A release just came out an hour ago. It's fixed officially!

Thanks.

I am new to biblesupport.com. I downloaded and installed ToolTip last week. I thought that I followed the tutorial to the letter but I keep getting a bunch of error messages when I try to build the Bible module. I tried it on three different computers and with the same results. The error messages are below.

Note to all, raygeide (via i.m.) has updated to v0.95 which solves this issue.

A few of comments about ToolTip NT v0.95 and the accompanying User's Guide .95:
  • Creating a Bible reading plan (.brpx) only seems to allow full chapter reading sections. I attempted to create the One Year Bible reading plan (Tyndale) and all the partial chapter are converted to full chapter readings.
  • When creating a reading plan all the markers (÷) seem to require a valid scripture reference (i.e. no comments or blank lines for a "non-reading" day in the year).
  • My feature request would be that Bible reading plans have an option like the devotional reading where a specific day can be assigned to the reading but unlike the devotional modules the actual text of the reading would be displayed. (I realize that this would require e-Sword changes that are not in the control of any but Rick Meyers.)
  • There would seem to be a typo in the user's guide on pp. 76-77 where: "2" indicates the verse reference is invalid. It would seem that "0" indicates the invalid reference.
  • The user's guide pictured toolbar with a checkbox for Chapter Tips has been changed to a dropdown dialog.
  • Using ToolTip on references to books that only contain one chapter requires that “1:” be included in the reference. Often authors don't include the chapter number in the reference. Thus Jude 21 or Obadiah 17 is invalid requiring Jude 1:21 or Obadiah 1:17.
Thanks for reading and thank you for providing tools and resources that significantly enhance the already excellent tool e-Sword.

Mike

I'll look at that

  • The user's guide pictured toolbar with a checkbox for Chapter Tips has been changed to a dropdown dialog.

As often as the UI changes, I can't spend the time to replace every screenshot to reflect every incidental change, unfortunatley. Now in the section that describes Chaper Tooltips, the screens are updated. Eventually they all will be but if I reshot every screen every time there's a change, that'd be a full time job!

  • Using ToolTip on references to books that only contain one chapter requires that “1:” be included in the reference. Often authors don't include the chapter number in the reference. Thus Jude 21 or Obadiah 17 is invalid requiring Jude 1:21 or Obadiah 1:17.

That's a good point. I will document it. Even better, it's a good feature suggestion. Anytime T4 sees Jude 21 or Obadiah 17, it could enter a 1: in front of it. :D

You're right, just tried it. I could have sworn it did not last time I tried it. :)

I think this was added at v1.00 of T3. Maybe sooner. :-)
