Being new here, and getting more involved with e-Sword, could someone direct me to a more in depth Greek/NT dictionary module. I have the Strongs, and the Thayer's dict, yet they pretty much seem to almost copy each other at times. I'm looking for something with a little more "encyclopedic" explanation of the words, as the Theological Dictionary of the NT, by Geoffrey Bromiley does. Any ideas?

I'm not looking to make more work here for those who are so kind to sacrifice their time and labor on this web site, but helpful to me would be more of an description of the add on modules for e-Sword. (or at least more people leaving feedback of a module itself, that we as users could do our part to help this along with a description of, or a follow up thought of a module. ;) )

Thanks for any suggestions :)

The text below was copied from http://e-sword-users...users/index.php (scroll down a bit). The links at that location doesn't seem to work. You can use this one instead - http://www.e-sword.net/wordstudy.html

The Complete Word Study Dictionary includes both the New Testament Greek dictionary by Dr. Spiros Zodhiates, and the Old Testament Hebrew dictionary by Dr. Warren Baker and Dr. Eugene Carpenter.

A detailed study tool for Bible students, this dictionary is the perfect companion to e-Sword Bibles modules with Strong's numbers. Each Hebrew and Greek word in the Bible is defined and explained, providing readers with all they need to explore every idiom and nuance of the original Hebrew and Greek text.

Dr. Zodhiates takes the Strong's Greek lexicon and amplifies it a hundredfold in terms of detail. An entry that might receive just a few lines of fine print in Strong's is instead expanded to whole columns or pages of discussion, with every conceivable nuance explored. Each entry includes word derivation, exegetical commentary, word history and etymology, synonyms and antonyms, and both lexical and scriptural cross-references are added to make this a truly invaluable study aid

Thank you patch, that was a step in the right direction, as I downloaded I installed the Strong's Plus version which I didn't know about until you mentioned it. :) Thanks also for the encouragement to wait for others to respond, it paid off. :)

Excellent, this is just what I was looking for, thank you Scribe. :D :D In fact when I was checking out other Bible software options (before I decided on e-Sword being my default study software) I talked to a guy from a web site (phone support) who had good things to say about a lexicon he really liked, and I couldn't catch the name, as it was Zole???.... and it was this one you brought up, the name clicked. The Lord even blesses us with the little things of our heart, when we seek Him. It's in my e-Sword, ready to go. Thanks again, for everyone's help. :D

hi everyone, i downloaded the strong's plus that was linked above. first, thanks for the link! i'd been looking for this, but the only ones i had found before were password protected. this one wasn't so that made me happy. i have a question tho, can anyone verify that this isn't copyrighted as far as the enhanced part goes? i know strong's is public domain (at least i'm pretty sure).

thanks and blessings!
