Good evening everyone, I have noticed that in my several years of downloading and updating to new versions I have quite a few same entries like v. 8 and v9 bibles, commentaries and the others. Is there a program that I can run that will highlight the duplicates and I can choose which one I want to keep. My esword file i.m sure can be cut down on size. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi tkillian

If you have been already Welcome to Biblesupport.com

AS you may know version 8 and version 9 and above modules are different so if your using version 9 or above u can get rid of your version 8 modules as long as you have them in v9 format odds are there are available in v9 here on this site

Version 9 file end in an X so bbl would be v8 and BBLX would be 9 and above

A good program to sort out your files is Resourcer it does not do it automatically but it presents them in an easily identifiable format so you can manually delete them

I would move all the file that i want to delete to another folder and work with eSword for a little to make sure all the modules you want to keep are still there

it wouldn't even hurt to back them up on a cd dvd flash drive etc.

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
