Can external hyperlinks be used in commentary modules? I'm fairly new to creating e-Sword modules. T3 doesn't seem to respect hyperlinks in my rtf files, and I don't see a hyperlink option in T3.

Thx!

In the text that appears under Commentary > Information, you can type www.website.com and e-Sword will recognize it as a link. But the rest of the commentary cannot contain a hyperlink yet.

Btw, I submitted a feature request for this (i.e., hyperlink support in commentary modules) at e-Sword.net. Rick replied that this feature is already supported and that I should post here to find out how to get it working. So, I thought I'd try to reawaken this conversation. Maybe it's just that T3 doesn't support hyperlinks? Any ideas?

Have you tried using basic html? <a href="http://www.somelink.com">The text to link</a>

That may work if it is supported. You'd have to go to "source" or "html" view in the text edito to get it to work though. I've not used T3 so I don't know if that is an option.

With eS10x, you must use the correct html entry to get hyperlinks to work.

Note to BH: perhaps you could include some automagic in T3 so it converts websites automagically?

I don't believe hyperlinks work at all in a commentary.

Hyperlinks work in T3 and they should work in commentaries.
To enter a hyperlink in T3, you code it as you would in HTML.

<a href="http:\\your.url.com">Link Words</a>

Yep, that works. I never realized that.

Josh,

I think hyperlinks work in the body of a commentary, but not in the header ("Commentary/Information..." section of eSword).
