Andre,
If you email me the e sword version I can probably fix it. Email me at pfpeller@yahoo.com.

If you would like to try yourself you can try using the regex utility on the MySword Bible to remove the unwanted characters.

Blessings,
Peter

Great day all,

In regards to converting E-Sword modules to MySword modules (for Android), I found that Peter's recommendation of simply changing the extension .bblx to .bbl.mybible "technically" works, but when my module is viewed in MySword, it has lines of code (related to the formatting - bold, underline, etc.) interspersed with the text itself.

I initially tried the instructions that recommended downloading the "TheWord" converter, but found that it only supported E-Sword 8 or 9, and not 10.  Therefore, it wouldn't allow me to convert my E-Sword 10 modules to "TheWord".

Is anybody familiar with these issues, or a way (I suppose) that I can revert my E-Sword 10 modules to 9x or 8x in hopes of converting them to "TheWord," in hopes of then converting them to MySword?

Or can someone explain how I simply get rid of the formatting code that showed up in MySword when I simply changed the E-Sword module extension (.bblx) to MySword (.bbl.mybible) ?

Thank you.

E sword 10 modules should convert file to MySword via theWord, except for Bibles.  For Bibles, you would have to be able to backwards convert to e sword 8x with a program called BeST.  Many cannot get this program to work.

If you want to remove lines of code from the MySword module in the database you can use this program.

I tried the best utility to convert. It didn't work for me.

Check out this download and run the utility in it.

This program works. I was able to create files for mysword from  bblx files created with T4

I tried it on my Jonathan Mitchell's New Testament and it definitely did NOT work with it showing up all kinds of unwanted characters as mentioned in ESword Addict's post above.  Be forewarned.  It WILL show books, chapters and verses properly, but definitely not easily readable if using any formatting at all.

hi

here is the bible in all four formats bblx, bbl, the Word, and MySword.

Attached File  JMNT.zip   4.67MB   35 downloads

Caution: MySword is in plain text.  MySword converter will not convert the Word version so I used the converter that will make plain text.

I looks as If your module has a lot of codes that the converter will not work (much like my study bible)

thanks
