Well when I contacted Rick Meyers he indicated only that a fix would be available at the next build. I thought it might be a couple of days time, but it appears to whenever.
There seems to be a problem with e-Sword thinking that the clipboard is in use, hence some of the menu items are greyed out. Perhaps it is worth noting other programs that could be using the clipboard and not load them, to see if this makes the difference.

Maybe this is another bug then, and not the usability issue I'm thinking of.

A week or two ago, I updated the manual for 10.0.6 and expect 10.0.6 to be released anytime from now to next week. 10.0.6 will be mostly bug fixes and the introduction of hotkeys for indent paragraph left/right.

EDIT: I had an issue similar to this once with the clipboard. I had to exit Microsoft Word.

Thanks Josh but I tried that ealier today and that did not work. Oddly, everything is working perfectly right now. what seems to happen is when I close down and restart these features disappear but after about an hour of so they come up on their own -- I think? I have no idea.

JPG, thanks for the input. I just turned e-sword off and rebooted, it is still working okay?? I have no idea, but i was experiencing the exact same thing you discribed but for whatever reason it is working now?? Did you ever get a fix? If not are you still using the sofware?

The fix is still to come with whatever release is after 10.0.5
More testing e-Sword than using it, to answer your last?

Thanks JPG -- just and update. After using version 10.0.05 for about an hour, merely going about my studies and moving verses to my topics window, right click, no problem, Highlighted verse and past to topics subject, no problem -- then it just quit working. I moved a couple of verses from two different translation and was just beginning to have fun -- it stopped working? It has to be some kind of bug and not an operator error -- I have been using esword, as a donating memeber (just so you know) for a couple of years now. I may be a little computer illiterate but I know my way around e-sword and love it. Hope they fix this soon, Dan
