Hi all,

My name is Brits (the guy that Jesus loves). I have just downloaded the e-Sword vs 10 and I am totally flabbergasted ! I am so excited I can hardly breathe... There are sooo many things that it will most likely take me a good while (and a number of silly questions on the forum) to get to grips with this.
Nevertheless, glad to be here and a very sincere thanks to the developers, hosts, and anybody involved to provide such a great tool.

I trust that I will be able to meet new friends and , who knows, perhaps make some contribution.

I live in Durban, South Africa. born '57 and going to spend the rest of my life (forever) with my Maker.

As far as e-Sword resources in the local patoisé go, from memory:

• Zulu: two resources;
• Xhosa: two resources;
• Venda: One resource;
• Swati: two resources;
• Sutho: one resource
• Gujurati: One resource;
• Arabic: one hundred resources;
• Afrikaans: thirty resources;

Some of those resources are being distributed without the permission or knowledge of the copyright holder.

Many of the Bible translation publishers in South Africa have invented their own apps to publicise their Bible Translations, for which they retain all copyright and publishing rights. This is why they are not making their books available through e-Sword.

 

However, PLEASE refer to the Review for http://www.biblesupport.com/e-sword-downloads/file/2580-afrikaans-ou-vertaling-aov/ as provided 2022-08-21 by Olaf Bacon for details about the Afrikaans (1953) Bible as provided by the South African Bible Society for personal, non-commercial use, in e-Sword.
