JM, do you read the KJ 2000 in the iPhone ap, or on a computer? I can't seem to be able to figure out how to download it into my iPhone ap.

I read it on my computer and Ipad....but on the Ipad (and should be good for your iphone: http://cadrebible.co.../bibles/kj2000/   It's free to download.

I am looking for a Bible for E Sword without the chapter and verse numbers. I have seen them online, but would love to have on available right in E Sword.

A bible module without chapter and verse numbers can not be made because the verse numbers are part of the program. And used for navigation.

However there are ways to bypass it.

click on Bible and go to "copy verses" choice for Format 7 and select the whole Book.

Copy all Books and make a Topx module.

Another way is using a TheWord module ONT (old and new testament) or OT or NT and convert it to a Topx module. (those modules are a TXT file related with HTM).

You need "e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT".

hi Lynette Fournier,

You might be wanting the bible in paragraph form, if so e-Sword does not display the bible that way.  The Word bible software does. the word.net

thanks

Hi Niobi,

With respect to that, e-Sword does this as well. Actually I should say, this can be done for e-Sword as well. See Screenshot below.

Attached File  e-Sword - Wuest's Bible.jpg   367.3K   16 downloads

However, paragraphed editions of the Bible, and those without chapters and verses are problematic when it comes to Bible studies, for three reasons:

  1. Searching for a particular Scripture reference is hampered when there is no method to reference too.
  2. Inability to find study notes in these Bibles, due to them being cut out of view in the Bible Window. (Compare Screenshot below with above screenshot.)
  3. The vast majority of Bible Tooltips won't work.

Now, this is purely a guess on my part considering I haven't got and don't use theWord Bible program, but I would also imagine that the same search problems would exist with that program as it does with e-Sword when it comes to finding particular Bible references and using tooltips when using these kind of editions of the Bible.

The reason for me in mentioning these things is that when it comes to using paragraphed editions of the Bible in e-Sword (as well as any other Bible Program) you limit the capability of the program for Bible study and research. And this has to be seriously considered.

Blessings,

Stephen (Php 1:21).

theWord overcomes these issues and is quite flexible in formatting, as I am sure other users like Dr Dave would confirm.
