This is Clarence Jordan's interesting paraphrase of most of the books of the NT. Interested in making the Bible more meaningful to people in the racially divided southern US, Jordan changed the Jew/Gentile rift to a black/white rift. He placed Jesus in Georgia instead of Judea. Paul was taken to Washington for trial instead of Rome.
Though derided by many, his attempt to make the Bible applicable to people in their situations is admirable. That doesn't mean this paraphrase is accurate by any stretch. But you will find it interesting.
