I have downloaded several third party topics files in the file format of .topx that are not showing up in the e-sword desktop.  How can I access these modules?  They are in the esword directory and I have restarted the program several times now.  Still I cannot find them in the program.

In e-Sword 10, click Tools and choose Reference Library. Your topics are viewable and searchable within the Reference Library.

In e-Sword 9, view topics through the Editors window (lower, right by default). Click the Topics tab in the Editors window.

So what's the deal, or plan, for the Topic browser in the main program interface?
What's it for now?

(I'm using 10.0.5)

Thanx! God bless!

Hi,
It is for you to make (edit) your own Topics (with pictures). You can make your sermons, and other things with it.

thanks

Two other things you can do with the Topic Note editor are:
  • Convert your Topic Note files to refx (Reference Book) files
  • Open pre version 9 Topic (top) files in version 10x and will automatically save as a topx file.
So, howzat for something being really handy for ya.

Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).

OK, well, I figured it out, I always thought that it was a "topic browser", but in fact it's a "topic editor", I see why Rick made the change to a Reference library. What I was all of a sudden experiencing was all the "editor menu buttons" were whited out, but in fact the "new topic" button was not, but seemed whited out because -- it's white. So I thought that the topic editor was disabled for whatever reason. Silly me...

Thanks all! God bless!!!
