All,
I just noticed that there is a new free official e sword topic download dated 11/18/11 entitled "Have Heart" by Steve Berger that you can download from within E Sword. I am not sure it is new or recently updated, but it was written in 2010 and it is a powerful book on the hope of heaven written by a pastor who recently lost a son. I highly recommend it if you have not read it.
Blessings,
Peter

The date in the column on the far right is the release date.
It is a new addition to the e-Sword collection.

Thanks sincerely for the information. I just got it and plan to read it as soon as I can.

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Thanks sincerely for the information.

One of these days I'm going to ask Rick what he changed the indicator for updated resource to.
Right now, I'm determining if a resource is new or updated, by consulting CAEM.

I've downloaded "Have a Heart" and read it. I have to admit this book is a real wonderful read, and I recommend it. The pity is that there is no way to rate this book, as in giving it a star rating on here, as I would give it a good four stars.

I am very grateful for Steve and Sarah Berger for giving Rick permission to produce it for e-Sword. Mind you, what else would I expect considering that Steve is Rick's pastor and great friend. It just had to happen. :D

I could have written about this as a Blog, but thought its better here. So, if you haven't downloaded it (through your e-Sword), I suggest you do so, after all this is free. If you were to get the hardcopy of it, you'd have to pay US$15 for it.

So, to Rick Meyers: Thanks a heap for this one, bro. It really is appreciated.

Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).

I have listened to the recordings to a couple of messages that Steve as given at "Strategic Perspectives" conferences. I remember that he spoke on the topic of heaven the last conference I listened to and I have been meaning to get the book. It was a powerful and impacting message.... and when I looked at the e sword downloads the other day... there it was!

I did not put 2 and 2 together to figure out that Steve was Rick's pastor :).

I think that we are often not "heavenly minded" enough and I look forward to reading the book soon when I finish my current book. I recommended it based on hearing the conference message on the same topic as the book.

I just finished reading this book. I give it 5 stars :).

It is a very moving book that every Christian who has lost a loved one should read. Also, every Christian who would like to be able to comfort others who have lost loved ones should read this book. There is fresh insite from the Holy Spirit on many passages of scripture that have to do with what those Christians who have passed into the next life are doing.

This book is a very easy and powerful read. Please consider reading it...

Blessings,
Peter
