I have a very strange issue.  I just reinstalled windows a month or so ago and downloaded the latest version of eSword and the PC Module Converter - everything worked great.  Then a couple of days ago, seemingly for no reason, eSword simply would not load.  I would click on the executable and get the little spinner for a moment, but the program would never load.  I rebooted - nothing.

 

I finally uninstalled and tried a reinstall, still same problem.  So I used an old eSword install program I had archived for 11.0.6 and it worked fine.  But----the problem I am having now is that the eSword PC Module Converter fails b/c I have a version of eSword that is too old.  I used to have an older version of the module converter which worked fine with 11.0.6, but I cannot find an older version of the eSword PC Module Converter to download anywhere.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

For the newest versions of e-Sword for Windows you need to have Windows Media Player Classic installed and active on your system. This is required in order for the e-Sword Audio Bible function to work correctly.

Thank you - it is (and has been) installed.  It is strange that eSword 14.5 just stopped working when it had been working for 3 weeks without a problem.  I'm stumped!

Is what you have installed Windows Media Play or Windows Media Player Classic?, They are two different players, e-Sword for Windows needs the older Windows Media Player Classic not the current version of the player. 

The change in e-Sword not functioning might be related to a recent Windows update that changed something involving Windows Media Player Legacy

Good question!  I'm running "Media Player 2025" Version 11.2512.10.0.  I think that would be the right one?  Thanks for the help.

No that is not the right one you need what is called Windows Media Player Legacy or Windows Media Player 12.0

quem estiver tendo problema de carregamento do programa, tipo abri mas não executa no windons 11 segue como resolver:
 

Exclua a seguinte chave do Registro do Windows e, *em seguida*, inicie o e-Sword :

 

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Configurações de Programas VB e VBA\ e-Sword
