Hi, I'm trying to copy my study/topic notes from my old computer to a new computer. I followed the instructions on how to do that to the letter, but my notes still aren't coming up. What's the problem?

Hi,

We'll need a little more information to help you. I assume you're using e-Sword 10 on the new pc? What files did you copy? What folders did you copy them to? In Options > Resources of e-Sword on your new pc, what does the "Location" field at the bottom of the screen say?

Thanks for the reply. The version on my new computer is 9.9.1, the old computer has 9.8.?. The location box says "C:\Program Files (x86)\E-Sword\".

I assume you copied study.notx and topic.topx to the new computer. Ideally, they should have been copied into a your e-sword user folder, usually the "my documents\e-sword" folder

In e-Sword 9.9.1, click the Study Notes Editor window to activate that editor. Then click File > Open and navigate to the folder where you stored study.notx and topic.top on your new computer. Open the study note. You can do the same with the Topics Editor.
