Can modules be downloaded onto e-Sword Lt (on iPhone) or e-Sword HD (on iPad)?

They most certainly can, but you must choose the right format, which is those files that end with an "i." That is, files that end with .bbli, .cmti, .dcti, .lexi, .refi, etc. When you download one of these, it should either automatically open in e-Sword, or else iOS will ask you if want to open it in e-Sword. If the file is zipped, you will have to unzip it first.

@ lydadav

Put another way, bbli, cmti, dcti, lexi, refi, and etc files will open in all iOS devices as well as macOS devices. iOS being the operating system for iPhone and iPad. macOS being for Mac Computers, both desktop and laptop machines.

Moreover, bbli, cmti, dcti, lexi, refi, and etc files are used in e-Sword for Android.

Here is the full list of e-Sword editions for their respective Operating Systems (OS).

  • e-Sword: the original program which runs only on Windows

  • e-Sword HT: runs only on iPad's edition of iOS

  • e-Sword LT: runs only on iPhone's edition of iOS

  • e-Sword Android: runs only on all Android devices both Phone and Tablet, irrespective of the brand and maker of these devices.

Trust you find this helpful.

Blessings,

But do note this with your Android device as taken from the FAQ

WILL E‑SWORD android-20.png WORK ON ANY ANDROID DEVICE?

No. Only devices running at least Android 7.0 Nougat (which became available in 2016.)

That's going back quite a few years (6).

The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2", which I still have, is Android version 5.02, (Lollipop), which came out in 2014. So I dip out on e-Sword for this device by a couple of years. Just wondering if I can upgrade the OS to Nougat on this device. Be interesting if I can.
