Is there anyway I could hire you to help me with this? Since you are a developer, an d I do not want to lose my files. I have a lot. If yes, how much would it cost? I would really appreciate it. Thank you. God bless you.

If I was in your area/location it would cost you nothing. But considering that I'm nowhere near you; in fact overseas in a totally different country thousands of miles from you, Christchurch, New Zealand, that makes it an impossibility to help you.

My suggestion is that you get a friend or someone in your church who is computer savvy to help you. That way you would keep your costs down, and all you would need to do is give your friend or that person a gift for the help he/she gave you.

You could do it remotely with TeamViewer if he was agreeable to sharing over the Internet.

Thank you so much for providing the video and for your help. Sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. I just got out of the hospital. I will watch the video.

I thought it might be helpful to give you some background on what happened with my e-Sword.

Basically, I had all of the Bible Files on Google drive. I Wanted to move away from Google drive, because I had everything backed up well, I thought it would be easy to move the files. I have done it before. However, when I uninstalled Google Drive the files were gone and when I tried to provide a different address on where they could be found it doesn’t seem to work.

I had time to think about this in the hospital. Obviously it wasn’t smart to uninstall Google drive before I actually had it moved away and working.

At this point I am wondering if I reinstall Google drive, and Assuming I can get the the same file structure as before, then load the books and files into the directories where they were before, then Make the changes in e- sword for pointing them back to where they were before. Would that work?

What do you think about this?

Thank you everyone for your help. I have restored e-Sword and it is working well. Your instructions helped a lot. The Lord bless you all. I probably should close this topic but I don't know how. I have a few questions about display options and types of file extensions for different books. But another topic.

Yep it would work.

Just because you uninstalled Google Drive from your PC, it didn't affect your the files that you uploaded to Google Drive on Google's Cloud. So you should be pretty much safe there.

Blessings,

Stephen (Php 1:21).
