As far as I have seen there is no 1611 KJV module with the change in font for e-Sword. I have been slowly doing that.

You will find that there is a copy of the KJV-1611 that has been provided in the Commentary option for e-Sword.

This may save you many hours of time.

Please have a look at the following option. The download files have been provided in both cmtx (for e-Sword running e-Sword versions 1 and 10 and can be read by later versions), and for cmti option (applicable to e-Sword X for Apple Mac, applicable to e-Sword HD for iPad, applicable to e-Sword LT for the iPad, and applicable to e-Sword for the Android devices. Also able to be read with e-Sword for the PC for versions 11, 12 and 13, which was coded in HTML format.).

The printers of the KJV-1611 use the letter character v for the first letter u and v in a word and use u for the u and v everywhere else. They use the long s character ſ at the beginning and inside a word, with the rounded s at the end of a word, and S as a first capital letter of a word.

The Bible is e-Sword already changed these to "s" so that e-Sword can read the character.

The glyph j occurs only after i, in the name of a place Iehouah-ijreh (Genesis 22:14), Aijalon (Joshua 21:24), and in the name of individuals, such as Abijam (1 Kings 14:31), Elijah (2 Kings 1:15; 2:1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15; 9:36; 10:10), Ahijah (2 Chronicles 10:15), Urijah (Nehemiah 8:4), Hodijah (Nehemiah 8:7), Abijah (Nehemiah 12:17), Aijeleth (Psalm 22:1), Baijth (Isaiah 15:2), Urijah (Jeremiah 26:20, 21, 23), Irijah (Jeremiah 37:13, 14), Tobijah (Zechariah 6:10, 14); and in a number iiij. Punctuation is easier to follow and differs from current grammatical practice. To save space on a line of text, the printers sometimes print ye for the (replacing the Middle English thorn, Þ, with the continental y to stand for the “th” sound in English, similar to the sound of the Greek letter θ and Θ), set ã for an or am (in the style of a scribe's shorthand), and used the ampersand & to represent the word and. Once the eye has learned how to decipher the sounds of the letters, even a young child finds that it is very easy to read the 1611 King James Bible aloud, as they can pronounce the words exactly as the words have been printed.
Printer fonts currently used today swap “v” and “u” and change the long ſ in a word to “s” in English.

I havem't checked the use of single and double hyphens when they occur at the end of a line and the word continues on the next line of text.

Another entry supplied by Josh Bond may be also useful. http://www.biblesupport.com/e-sword-downloads/file/7335-1611-kjv-margin-notes/

Hello chrisyetzer, thank you for your news to Bible Support of progress on the task that you have decided to tackle for your further use.

As far as I have seen there is no 1611 KJV module with the change in font for e-Sword. I have been slowly doing that.

I have discovered where you can download a copy of the KJV-1611, already coded to e-Sword.

Look in e-Sword, in the Download option, browse to Bible, then English options, and keep browsing downwards, past English free options, past English Premium options, past English, Anglicized, Premium option, to English, Old. Here you will find free options to Download KJV-1611. This is for the King James Bible (w/ Apocrypha). The Date was 2009-04-02.

At that time, the programming of e-Sword for the PC was in RTF format. If you want more recent formatting options, I suggest you contact Rick Meyers who provided that module for the use of e-Sword users. The Bishops' Bible (w/ Apocrypha) and the Geneva Bible (w/ Apocrypha) were also provided in the same section of modules.

I hope this information is useful. This really took me some time to track down where those file modules originated.
