I was able to install ToolTipTool NT 20190819 under Wine in Linux; It requires mfc42.dll installed in order to register with regsvr.

However, I do get the following error when executing the software:

 

Report the following:

It does startup; testing it to see if can successfully create modules is another matter.

The older tooltip v352 will run for me but is missing superscript capabilities which kind of kills it for me, as I need that for my current project.
There is an internet channel, #winehq I believe on the libera network that may be a good source for troubleshooting. I think there is a link to the wine development page there also. It seems like resources might be there to solve this.

Despite the above error, I was able to create a partial Bible with OT chapters and NT chapters and view it in e-Sword. Subscript and superscript are available with right-click on selection -> format.

A better option then using wine with Linux is Crossover Linux from Codeweavers
