I also am running e-Sword on Wine. TooltipTool352 is the only one I can get running on Wine; I keep getting errors when installing any of the ToolTipToolNT versions. Apparently 'ToolTipToolNT20190819' is the last stable version.

I've downloaded the tx4ole24.ocx file, but have no idea how to register it in Wine.

The text control was changed to version 28 with the last 3 released of Tooltip

Same error; me thinks it is a Linux Wine issue:

yes that looks like a familiar error.

e-sword 12.2 went in and required no tweaking of any kind. Not that I would know how to do it.
v 13.00 did not work. I downgraded on some advice I had seen here somewhere.

the virtual window that wine creates runs faster than my windows standard installation. so that's a plus.

Kind regards,

Michael

Could you possibly provide a link to TooltipTool352 that you mentioned?

typing that as written in the download secition comes up empty.

kind regards,

M

You can try here:

I think ToolTipTool352 was for developing RTF modules used on earlier versions of e-Sword;

ToolTipToolNT was for developing HTML modules for e-Sword v.10+.

I could be out to lunch; but, stating that should bring about quick responsive corrections.

Thanks again. I was able to install this into wine.

it does appear it creates just the bblx, which is fine for me.

I can always load windows to make a bbli if necessary.
